The Southern University community is mourning the loss of two of its own this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones this week.
The mood at Southern University was somber Tuesday. Students are trying to cope with the recent loss of not one but two of their own.
The latest victim, Ferdinand Dorsey Jr., 24, was shot to death Monday night at the Palisades Apartments near campus around 9:30 p.m. In a show of solidarity, students wore black Tuesday. Many called the deaths of Dorsey and Sheena Barnett, 26, senseless.
